If you took part in National Get Out of the Doghouse Day then you don’t stand a chance of celebrating Flitch Day! Typically reserved for newly weds, Flitch Day is celebrated by awarding a “flitch” of bacon to any married couple who can prove they lived together in harmony and fidelity for the past year. Harmony? We should award a flitch to ANY married couple who can live in complete harmony for the entire year. It takes alot to keep your cool – we’ll have whatever pills they’re taking to keep their cool!
If Flitch Day won’t work, or if you’re already out of contention, we strongly suggest celebrating National Daiquiri Day. You could be cruel and encourage all couples in the running for a “flitch” to see how well they do after celebrating National Daiquiri Day! See if they’re up to the challenge. If they overcome that adversity then their perfection as a couple is probably just sickening!
