Pajama Jeans: The best thing since…wait they already existed.

If you haven’t seen the infomercial for Pajama Jeans, you can thank us later for the entertainment. “But if you order now, we’ll give you this crappy grey $2.00 t-shirt to make it an outfit for FREE!”  Wait, for real?  Sign me up!  I needed a new outfit for this weekend!

Here’s the problem with pajama jeans – they’re not quite an original idea:

  • SSense Denim Sweatpants – the model bares a striking resemblance to Tara Reid after one of her classic benders; Cost: $280 (crack addiction not included)
  • Genetic Denim Sweatpant – Nothing like a baggy pair of sweatpant-jeans to attract attention. A bargain at $49.95
  • Even Jessica Alba looks bad in denim sweatpants.  It takes talent to make her look bad!
  • Topman: Don’t worry, we’ve got the men covered too!  Just $80.00, what a bargain.  You can even go jogging in them.  I believe it’s ‘jogging’ or ‘yogging’. It might be a soft ‘j’. I’m not sure but apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It’s supposed to be wild.”

If only they looked as good as they do in the infomercial, but here’s the reality:

          • There’s a good chance they’ll only look like denim until you wash them.
          • Once they fade, they’ll just look like crappy sweatpants.
          • Inevitably you’re going to look like you’re wearing an outfit you wore in 3rd grade.
          • If Jessica Alba can’t pull them off, you probably can’t either.
