On This Day: National Iced Tea Day

National Iced Tea DayIt’s seems pretty simple – brew tea then put it on ice.  Right?  Not quite.  The World’s Fair in St. Louis, 1904, is credit with “inventing” iced tea.  This was long before the other Iced-T debuted and there are few similarities between the two.  Both are pretty popular – one for its refreshing qualities and the other for its endless SVU re-runs every weekend.  We give the edge to iced tea.  June 10th we celebrate National Iced Tea Day.

Other Holidays:Ballpoint Pen

  • Herb & Spice Day – how about spiced-iced-tea day.  Brilliant!
  • Ball Point Pen Day – personally the fountain pen seems more classy if you ask us.

Birthdays:

  • Kate Upton (19)
  • Elizabeth Hurley (46) – does she ever age?
  • John Edwards (59) – the most hated man in America? It’s between him and LeBron.
  • Judy Garland (1922-1969) – “there’s no place like home…there’s no place like home!”
