On This Day: National Thrift Shop Day

National Thrift Shop DayToday represents a great opportunity for members of DCP Nation to give back and better the community.  We realize that every project has a shelf life and it’s no unusual for us to hear “well, we only need these shirts for 1 event”.  As a result, you may have a closet full of older t-shirts and apparel that may never be worn again.  Take a minute to sort that closet, bureau, or bin in the basement.  There are thrift stores across the country that will accept your worn clothing and put it to better use.  Organizations like the Goodwill and Salvation Army have drop boxes and stores in many communities.  So donate those “used” items to great cause, and if that’s not enough reason for you then consider the potential tax-write off!  Happy National Thrift Shop Day
