One of the most common questions we get asked by customers is, “I want something that everyone will like.  Got any ideas that will be popular?”  We each have our preferences.  Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks?  Red wine or white wine?  Toilet paper over or under?  It’s tough to keep everyone happy or create a campaign that appeals to the masses.  Fortunately we spoke to our friend and public relations expert, Colleen White from Elevate Communications.  We agreed that there are 3 themes that almost never fail in advertising or public relations.  Those 3 themes are:

E-TRADE hit a home run with their baby-themed commercials.  Milka-whaaaat!

 

 

Sex

They weren’t lying when they told you “sex sells”.  Companies like GoDaddy.com and Old Spice took full advantage of the opportunity.

There you have it.  Animals are always popular.  People love babies, and they love sex more than animals and babies!  Keep these 3 ideas in mind for your next ad campaign and you’re bound to create foolproof material.  And when in doubt, just do what Smartwater did with Jennifer Aniston and use all 3!
